    George IV State Diadem Royalty Tiaras

It was designed in 1820 by Rundell, Bridge and Rundell for the coronation of King George IV . The diadem was also worn during the coronation of Queen Victoria, and later Queen Elizabeth II. The diadem includes 1333 diamonds weighing 325.75 carats and also has 169 beautiful pearls along its base. Its design features shamrocks, the symbols of England, Scotland and Ireland.

    The George IV State Diadem is featured on the banknotes of the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Bermuda, Hong Kong, British Honduras, the British Caribbean Territories currency board (consisting of Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Anguilla, Saba, St Kitts and Nevis, Antigua, St Lucia, Dominica, St Vincent and the Grenadines, British Guyana and the British Virgin Islands), Mauritius, Southern Rhodesia, Cyprus, Rhodesia and Nyasaland, Fiji, Belize, the Bahamas, Malta, Malaya and North Borneo, and Jamaica.

With neoclassical styling with classic wheat and leaves, the tiara was very elaborate yet very light in design.     Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Wedding Tiara

    Wedding TiaraThe ‘Girls of Great Britain and Ireland’ tiara was originally purchased from Garrard, the London jeweller and given to Queen Mary as a wedding present in 1893.   In a special gift, Queen Mary then passed it down to her granddaughter, and the future Queen Elizabeth II, on her wedding day.  The tiara has been described as “a diamond festoon-and-scroll design surmounted by nine large oriental pearls on diamond spikes and set on a bandeau base of alternate round and lozenge collets between two plain bands of diamonds”.

    Miss Universe’s Mikimoto Pearl crown

    2002crownThe Stunning Mikimoto crown was first introduced for the Miss Universe pageant in 2002 and was the pageants signature crown until 2007. The Mikimoto crown was specifically designed for the pageant on Mikimoto Pearl Island in Japan. Valued at $250,000, the crown used over 800 diamonds,and was almost 18 carats. 120 South Sea and Akoya pearls were used ranging in size from 3.0 - 18 mm. In 2002, Oxana Fedorova was the first Miss Universe to wear the new crown.

    57th Anniversay Miss Universe Crown

    Dayana MendozaDayana_MendozaIn 2008, a special crown was made to celebrate the 57th Miss Universe pageant.  Designed by CAO Fine Jewelry located in Vietnam, where the pageant was held.  The crown was valued at $120 thousand dollars, it is made of 18K white and yellow gold, and was crafted with over 1,000 precious stones. 30 carats of (555 stones) white diamonds 14 carats of (375 stones) cognac diamonds, 20 carats of (10 stones) smoky quartz crystals and 60 carats of (19 stones) morganite gemstones.  Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza was the 2008 Miss Universe winner.

    Empress Eugenie’s Tiara

    Wedding TiaraEmpress Eugenie had this exquisite pearl tiara made for her for her wedding to Napoleon III. She had the jewelers take the napoléonique pearls which was originally made for Marie~Louise, to make her wedding jewels. Eugenie was a lover of Pearls and can be seen in the portrait below. The crown features 212 pearls and 1998 brilliant-cut diamonds, with a total weight of 63.30 carats.  The largest drop-shaped pearl in the entire tiara, in the center position is believed to be the “Perle Napoleon” also known as the ”La Regente Pearl.”  In 1992 the “Amis de Louvre” purchased the diamond tiara and it is where it remains now.

    Miss Earth’s New Tiara

    missbrazil1MissEarthCatharina Svensson became the first Miss Earth in 01, an annual international beauty pageant promoting environmental awareness. In November 09, Larissa Ramos from Brazil became the winner of Miss Earth 2009, and also the first to wear the newly designed crown for the Miss Earth title holder. Official jeweller Ms. Ramona Haar unveiled the newly designed crown on November 16, 2009. 

    The new crown is made of 100% recycled precious metals.   The crown also is comprised of  gemstones and semiprecious stones that were donated by the 80+participating countries.  The various stones that were sent were black diamonds, sardonyx, calcite, rubies, jade quartz crystal, garnets, peridot, and pearls.

    The Miss Earth crown used through the years of 2001 -2008 was designed by award winning designer named Arnel Papa.  The crown’s frame was made from sterling silver and clear swarovski and pearls.

    Victoria Beckham’s Wedding Tiara

At their July 1999 they asked all guests to dress in black and white at the reception while they were decked out in purple. While the wedding ceremony was private, witnessed by 29 family and friends, their reception included 230 guests. The wedding was held at the 560-acre Gothic Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin, Ireland. The couple shocked guests with a nude cake topper of themselves (except for a few leaves) and an 18-piece orchestra fireworks display were unque touches in their reception.

    Victoria wore an ivory wedding dress designed by Vera Weng and a lavish tiara designed by Slim Barrett, which was encrusted with 231 diamonds. Designer Slim Barrett auctioned off the crown in 2000, and has donated the proceeds to the British Red Cross, as well as an
    Irish Charity Corporation whom helps under-privileged children in inner city areas.
