I have not been able to find a patch to increase speaker phone volume on my pre2.

I have seen some searching the forums but none work (install) .

Any one knows if such a patch exixsts or can update a 1X version? Thanks

In case that anyone might not look at the main page and just bookmarked the forums, I believe that all forums should have a note as this is very important.

So, quick version: you MUST update your phone or any WebOS device with the new HP catalog app, otherwise, past the July 23rd date, you’ll lose your ability to access the catalog, access the WebOS servers (cloud) for backups and restores, and any other services with HP’s servers.

Your device should do this automatically, but in case….

Hello just bought used Verizon palm pre and at system info it states it is 2.0.3(4089). Is this a stock update or a doctored one?

Sorry I am unable to post in the buy and sell forum for some reason otherwise I would have posted this here.

I have an HP Touchpad and case that works perfectly but it fell onto the floor and the screen smashed. With it on, you can still use it but I figure there might be someone in Toronto that needs one and has the knowhow to either replace the glass on this or can use it for parts.

Sorry but i say Toronto as I don’t have time to start shipping it anywhere. For those in Toronto, I live in the midtown area of the city. Spadina and St Clair West so if you live nearby even better for you.

To be honest it has hardly been used at all.
I did manage to follow directions here in this forum to speed it up + installed PreWare I think it was called.

I be its been used for a total of 10 hours surfing the web or playing Angry Birds ……Thats all!

IT WILL BE FULLY CHARGED BUT I AM KEEPING THE USB CORD WITH IT AS I have ended up using it for someone else i was missing a cord for. I also assume that whoever gets it might be breaking it for parts or already has 1 or 2 and will survive without it .

In any event IT DOES WORK PERFECTLY otherwise!!!

My wifes Touchpad gave the dreaded "memory full" message while still having plenty of memory.

I went thru Internalz Pro and found an offending file and deleted it. That worked for two days and the message came back. Went back in and found the e-mail file had 38meg worth of stuff in it. i don’t know how to remove the contents so I simply deleted the e-mail file. Everything works fne now.

Except…

My wife can no longer access her e-mails. E-mails download but here are tthe two things which are happening.

1) E-mail notifications no longer works

2) E-mail titles to show up in her e-mail app but that’s it. when she tries to access the e-mail, it keeps stating, "Retriving e-mail" for about a minute and then that the e-mail cannot be accessed.

I went to the accounts in settings and all is normal. mean, the e-mail titles are downloading to the touchpad, just not the content.

Then I thought if I deleted the e-mail app and re-loaded it that it would re-set everything. Problem is, I see the e-mail app in Software manager so I know I can delete it. But where do I download it from? It’s not in the app catalog or in Preware.

Any suggestions?

I’ve just doctored my Veer to 2.2.4 and I’m encountering some huge problems so I wanna ask you guys if you can help me.

1. Problem [solved - redoctored]
The Veer can’t download any apps on the HP catalog and can’t update them either. I can download files over the browser just fine

2. Problem [solved - enabled Developer mode]
My computer is recognizing the Veer, but Palm services like WebOSQuickInstall and any WebOS Doctors won’t recognize it. I have Novacom installed and doubt that’s the problem since these services are running just fine yesterday.

I hope someone can help me :(

Anyone know of a battery charger for pre 3? I want to have a spare battery charging while I’m using phone without buying a second phone to do this. Thanks for any help
